Cancer of the skin seems to be the least feared of all combined types of cancers, yet the most common cancers that continue to increase in the U.S. and other Western cultures are the 3 Types of Skin Cancers that you may have already heard of.

They are as follows:

• Basal Cell Cancer

• Squamous Cell Carcinoma

• Metastic Melanoma

There are other Rare Types of Skin Cancers that you will be made aware of, such as:

• Merkel Cell Cancer

• Kaposi's Sarcoma

• Sebaceous Gland Carcinoma

• Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans

The most common ones can be treated successfully if Detected Early.

You can find even better success in preventing them from recurring by living a healthy, Stress Free lifestyle.

You should also consider any Suntanning habits you may have had and understand that Overexposure to the sun is a common cause to triggering skin cancer.

When you know you will be a long time exposed to the sun, you must protect your skin with a good safe, chemical free Sunscreen. Beyond that you should be using Sun Protective Clothing, Beach Umbrellas and Sun Shelters to prevent Overexposure and Burning.

You should be enjoying the sun and the beautiful days without the sun damage and prematurely aging skin. ...And possibly even skin cancer!

You can be a happier, younger looking, disease free person by living such a lifestyle.

Some of the rare types are more aggressive and should receive immediate attention.

See your dermatologist immediately when you see ANYTHING Suspicious!

The focus is on the symptom and making it disappear without attention being paid to the root cause of the disease. Therefore recurrence is common and other side effects of drugs and treatments.

I see Alternative approaches as focusing on the whole body and it's deficiencies in order to improve the whole.

This would include a wide variety of treatments such as Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic medicine and others that focus on nutrition, mind and your overall well being.

Complementary medicine is when one combines conventional with alternative.

That ended up being what I did in my battle with skin cancer.
