You could have a simple Basal Cell Cancer or basal cell in situ (precancerous). Maybe it’s Squamous Skin Cancer or even Actinic Keratosis (sun damage leading to squamous cell carcinoma).

You could even have developed some Suspicious Moles showing Melanoma Symptoms or you’ve already started treatment for Melanoma.

I noticed, by doing a search for “skin cancer survivor stories”, that there were not a tremendous amount of skin cancer stories available, yet there are many who get skin cancer every year, young and old alike.

Imagine the resources people would have if more of us shared our story.

I wish someone would have told me their story so I wouldn't have to tell mine.

I’ve been in contact with old friends from years past who have experienced skin cancer (sometimes multiple times) and I would love to see them post their experiences with skin cancer. When it comes to any person with such an affliction I don’t try to push anyone into doing something they’re not comfortable doing. I'd rather just encourage someone than make them feel pressured.

I simply want anyone like that to know that I find encouragement in their stories, no matter if they are written well or not.

There are thousands in this world who would love to hear your story.

I received a cancer survivor story from a man whose struggles began when he was just 5 years old, the latest being skin cancer ...and he continues to survive.

I’ve thought many times that the going was pretty tough, but when I read his story I found a life of passion, creativity, hope and encouragement for all who read it.

I would have loved to be able to read others skin cancer experiences back in 1990 when my squamous cell carcinoma was diagnosed.
