What are cancer prevention foods?
To simply give you a list of skin cancer prevention foods and say these foods, said to prevent cancer, will absolutely keep you cancer free would not be an accurate statement. Even though these foods contain certain nutrients that do fight off the growth of cancerous cells, you may still be unknowingly (or knowingly) doing other things that could be causing it to spread.
In other words, a hole has been dug and it needs to be filled in, one shovel full at a time. But we can never fill it---if, at the same time, we continue to dig it. Right?
Now let’s learn about some foods to prevent cancer
Fresh greens have been a staple part of my diet (steamed or blended into juice) since I began my fight, and I still have them regularly. Here are parts of an article (chinadaily.com.cn 7/29/2006) that points to the value of green leafy vegetables and mentions some foods you may want to avoid. “Eating plenty of green leafy vegetables such as kale, spinach and collard greens could decrease skin cancer risk says a study. ---After adjusting for a variety of factors the researchers found that increasing intakes of green leafy vegetables were associated with a 41 percent decrease risk of skin cancer—which is known medically as Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC). …People who previously had skin cancer had a 55 percent decrease in SCC with increasing intakes of green leafy vegetables. Conversely, dairy showed a significant 153 percent increased SCC risk. …Our findings show that higher intakes of green leafy vegetables may help prevent SCC tumours among people who have prior skin cancers, the researchers claimed. …A high intake of unmodified dairy, such as whole milk, cheese, and yogurt, may increase SCC risk in susceptible individuals, the researchers said.”

Remember this—each individual is uniquely different in how he/she arrives at having skin cancer or any other disease. It has a lot to do with eating habits and lifestyle, beginning at childhood. Our past lifestyle has pretty much determined the condition we are presently in. To reverse a condition needs a different approach with each individual. We first must stop whatever contributed to bringing us to the present condition. Then we need to know what we, as individuals, need to eat in order to prevent or reverse our own particular condition. It’s not always the same for every person. An alternative health professional can help you to pinpoint YOUR DEFICIENCY. Everyone should learn to take care of their own health by getting to know their own body and what it’s saying to you. Peace Heals --- Laughter Heals --- Food Heals There are plenty of resources on this subject, books, radio talk shows and institutes where you can attend and learn in a peaceful invironment. I chose Macrobiotics which is a whole foods lifestyle and I sought counseling from qualified macrobiotic teachers. I attended the Kushi Institute in Becket, MA and learned what foods I should be eating and how to prepare them. I'll be honest with you, following a macrobiotic diet is not for everyone, it takes some serious dedication and time spent in the kitchen. How ever I did that and I also reaped the benefits. Now I do my own improvised style of healthy eating in my blender. The
Vita Mix blender
is what I have been using for about 19 years. For the last 7-8 years I have been using it every day and prepare some extremely healthy, whole food meals and juices. A centrifugal force juicer doesn't manage to get very much juice from greens, but the Vita Mix gets all the juice along with all the pulp ...nothing lost! If you're not really sure what are the best cancer prevention foods for you to be eating to obtain optimum health, then I highly recommend finding some qualified Alternative Health professional/s in your area and seek guidance. You may contact me if you need help and I will do my best to head you in the right direction.
