What are cancer prevention foods?

It could be said that all foods are cancer prevention foods, yet that would be very misleading to most people. All foods in their natural, organic, unmodified state are a gift from God for the benefit of our enjoyment, energy and health.

Truly, in proper balance and moderation, they could all be called anti cancer foods. But to leave it at that would not be doing justice to the main objective of this page, which is to prevent cancer with foods.

Every naturally existent whole food has its nutritional benefits and energy benefits. Some are higher in certain vitamins and minerals than others. Some will give you a calming effect, while others will give you a lift of energy. If you only ate foods high in a certain vitamin and/or mineral, then your body goes off balance and you have a vitamin deficiency which could eventually lead to a chronic disease such as cancer.

The same is true with the type of energy we receive from all foods. A consistent overindulgence of one type of energy will throw you off balance and can cause you to be excessive in certain thoughts or behaviors and eventually lead to a chronic mental disorder.

If you are not eating whole foods and the majority of what you ingest is junk, processed, toxic laden food found in restaurants and lining the shelves in grocery stores, then there’s not much benefit in balancing your diet, because you are not eating healthy, cancer prevention foods and disease is inevitable.

This is true for the majority of our population.

We are what we eat!

Getting started with anti cancer foods

If you are ready to control your own health and willing to make a change in your diet and lifestyle, then this is where you begin.

First you need to find a well qualified alternative health counselor ..or you must be well educated on food and how to harness the healing powers for your condition. Food is our medicine but unless we know how much and when, it’s like misusing prescription and over-the-counter drugs.

I strongly advocate the use of cancer prevention foods, but you must know what you are doing as most of us have grown up with little knowledge or concern about the effect of food and its relationship to our health.

 You are always advised to consult with a medical doctor, especially if you already have cancer,  before embarking on a measure such as healing or fighting cancer with foods as your medicine.

To most medical doctors this is a foreign concept that they do not comprehend or are very willing to play a role in. It just is not in their agenda. I experience this every time I have ever attempted to work with them.

A medical doctor is well educated in treating the symptoms and estimating the time (or chances) you have left before it returns or unfortunately, how long you’ll survive from the treatments (most often -- chemotherapy, radiation and surgery). A medical doctor is not trained in proper nutrition and the healing powers of food.

You must be the ultimate judge in choosing your course of treatment for an existing condition. It is certainly nothing to take lightly and you may have to take an approach, such as I did, and use alternative medicine (food being one) in conjunction with some of the medical treatments.

You should seek out a well qualified alternative health professional to put you on the path to healing. Ask questions, shop around and, if possible, talk to others who have been treated by him/her.

A macrobiotic counselor would use oriental diagnosis to determine what is the condition of body and recommend exactly what foods, amounts, and how often to eat them. The counselor would help you to set up your weekly menu and then see you regularly to make adjustments.

Alternative practitioners who use who use natural approaches would likely do a blood test to determine deficiencies in order to plan your treatment.

Hi! My name is Nick and I’m 56 yrs. old and this is part of my story. Let me tell you, I was like a lot of people out there and I had no idea that skin cancer was anything bad. I had Basal cell back in 2007, but that was no big deal and it was removed and that was the end of that. No one told me that it was a type of skin cancer (I looked it up on my computer). But still no big deal, it would not kill me.

It can be hard to spot, even for a professional.
The bottom line is to get an expert's opinion about any suspicious mole or lesion on your skin. If necessary, get a second opinion  and/or request a biopsy. it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
